Phytomining of rare earth elements (REEs) provides a potential possibility for metal recovery at brownfields where conventional mining technique is not reasonable or profitable. The holistic concept phytomining instituted from three scientific sectors. Phytoextraction the first stage referred to accumulation REEs in plants. This followed by enrichment process aiming elevate concentration into solid remains. Eventually, extraction technology applied reclaim these valuable metals bio-ores. main goal this study identify possible location phytomining, which lays groundwork further investigations. To do that, different woody biomass disparate contaminated spots was harvested and examined. A brownfield land located Gyöngyösoroszi, Hungary has been selected based on elemental analysis ash samples obtained incineration collected plants 500 °C. outcomes also preliminarily indicate viability recovering REEs.
